Welcome to E-Bulletin of MN Leo Club!
Welcome! Welcome!
This is the first entry of MN Leo Club's E-Bulletin! From now onwards, we will try to update you electronically with the latest news from Leo Club of Maktab Nasional Kota Kinabalu.
Just a brief introduction of our Leo Club. We were formed, initiated and inducted in September 2008. Our sponsoring Lions Club is Lions Club of Kota Kinabalu Host. Our Leo Advisor is Lion Chin Chee Thau. This year, we are pleased and overjoyed to have the honor of having two Lions to be our Leo Advisors: Lion Suffian and Lion Chin Chee Thau. We look forward for a lovely year ahead to work with them!
Our first President of Leo Club is Leo Fiona Tan who is currently studying in Australia. She has done a good work, laying a foundation for our club to continue thriving after her graduation. During her term as the president, our club had participated in the Joint Leo Installation in 2009, and also attended both the Leo Forum 2008 in Tuaran Beach Resort and Leo Forum 2009 in Damai Resort, Kuching. We had a total of 20 members by the time she graduated from Maktab Nasional in December 2009. In her team, we had Leo Dominic Lim as the Secretary and Leo Natasya Nuriman as our Treasurer. They had since graduated in 2009 and currently pursuing tertiary education in Australia too.
In year 2010, our President is Leo Cindy Joo, who has led seven Leo delegates from Maktab Nasional to Keningau for Leo Forum 2010. As the acting President, she worked with Leo Debbie Eii, our acting Treasurer, and Leo Tan Yen Ling, our acting Secretary, to successfully organized our Bake Sale fundraising project in conjunction with St. Simon's Adventure Walk in April. Then after, she also coordinated with Leo Lim Tzen Thau on the 3 on 3 Charity Basketball Match where Leo Clubs of All Saints, La Salle, Kian Kok and our very own Maktab Nasional Teams competed under two categories, below 15 and above 15. Both fundraising projects had generated a sufficient amount of fund, which we will be giving back to the public in near future.
We look forward to see more exciting activities organized this year under her leadership and also the upcoming acting President, who will soon be elected in September 2010 due to President Leo Cindy's upcoming SPM examination.
